Con un recurso muy contemporáneo al "documentar" la realidad, el escritor presenta una genealogía demoniaca y conduce por los vericuentos de un San Luis sorprendente y sordido. El abigarramiento de la narración estalla en un desenlace polifóno cuya verosimilitud no resulta de su desarrollo anecdótico sino del extraño humor del lector
